Unfortunately, at this rate, I will not complete the rough draft of the book by my self-imposed deadline. I will therefore need to do better.
I will be writing more today, probably about another 1,000 words. Chapter Two should be about half complete at that point.
One thing I have noticed is that I get easily side-tracked into writing narrative or dialog that may be interesting to me, but does not necessarily advance the plot or characterization. It's something I know that I do, but need to keep in mind so that I also stay focused on writing the interesting and important parts of the story.
